Born in 1948 in Merano (Italy), Felix achieved a cum laude degree from the Faculty of Jurisprudence - University of Florence in 1971, then trained as a lawyer and was registered to the Florence Bar in 1974. He's admitted to appear and defend before the Italian Supreme Court and all other Superior Jurisdictions since 1988.
He is a founding partner of the Florence based law firm Hofer Loesch Torricelli, which provides legal services to domestic and foreign clients whose businesses require legal assistance either under the "Community Law" (i.e. the Directives and Regulations issued by the European Union) or Italian regulations (national as well as local).
Having acted for almost 20 years - and still acting - as general counsel for a number of local municipalities, Felix Hofer has also achieved significant experience in the area of regulated businesses from both sides, the inside one (under the public administration's perspective as to reviewing and approval procedures as well as to handling administrative proceedings) and the outside one (from the position of the applicant seeking official approval or initiating administrative procedures with a local authority).

Felix Hofer is the member for Italy of the Global Advertising Lawyers' Alliance (GALA). By unanimous decision he was called to serve as GALA Europe's Chairman during the period 2001-2002,Felix Hofer is author and co-author of a number of books and articles on advertising, marketing, sales promotions topics and on company law as well as a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on these topics (in Italy and Europe as well as in the United States).

September 2010: The Law School of the University of Florence, the local Bar Association, the Association of Public Notaries, the Association of Professional Accountants, Confprofessioni and the Consortium Professional Service have jointly organized a specific teaching program for the position of “Assistant to legal and accountancy services providers” entitled “Legal Services”. Hofer Losch Torricelli (Italy) is involved in this program and partner Felix Hofer was invited by the Bar Association to lecture on “Privacy issues in offices of legal and accountancy service providers”. Felix Hofer will also contribute to the lecture held by Avv. Giovanna Stumpo on “Theories and models of organization and office management – ISO certification” with a short presentation on “Practical aspects and case studies”.
June 2010: In the June issue of Computer Law Review International (CRi) Felix Hofer, Hofer Losch Torricelli (Italy), provides a summary and a comment on a recent judgment issued by a First Instance Court in Milan (Fourth Criminal Chamber, no. 1972 of February 24th – April 12th, 2010) with respect to liability of online platforms for privacy infringements. December 2009: On November 23rd, 2009 Felix Hofer, Hofer Losch Toricelli ( GALA Italy) , chaired a CLE seminar in Florence (Italy) for lawyers and practitioners, organized by the Italian Section of AIPPI in cooperation with the local Bar Association and focusing on “Procedural issues and peculiarities in IP court litigation”.
October 2009: GALA EMEA held a seminar on September 18, 2009 in Warsaw, Poland on Green Marketing and Ambush Marketing, hosted by Polish GALA member, Ewa Skrzydlo-Tefelska's firm Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak (SK&S).
