Within the field of Intellectual Property, our office acts as a patent and trademark agent for a number of foreign corporations in obtaining intellectual property rights in Croatia and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. We work on developing IP strategies and marketing identities for local clients. Moreover, the firm litigates trademark, copyright and patent infringement cases and advises on copyright issues in the entertainment and software industries. In addition, we cover multimedia law and music copyright in the entertainment field as well.
Our specialization in the field of Computers and Software includes all activities in information technology, Internet law, software copyright, software licensing and software protection. In particular, we are experienced in registering domain names for foreign companies and drafting/concluding computer contracts. Furthermore, Vukmir & Associates regularly oversees counterfeiting and anti-piracy issues.
Work in the Commercial Law field includes the drafting and reviewing of licensing and distribution contracts as well as general commercial contracts. Other services include assistance in concluding sales, distribution and franchising agreements for contract negotiating.
Corporate Law matters include the incorporation of limited liability and joint stock companies and due diligence procedure. The firm has also assisted a number of well-known multinational companies in setting up subsidiaries in Croatia. The partnership continues assisting local subsidiaries in their day-to-day operations in Croatia.
In respect to the field of Banking, we cover banking law, banking securities, commercial loans, international loans and letters of credit. In particular, we are experienced in preparing legal opinions, effectuating due diligence reviews and drafting security agreements. Additionally, this law partnership assisted in finalizing a number of foreign loans, some of them syndicated, to various Croatian entities. Our work also includes the drafting of mortgage agreements and loan agreements for reconstruction and modernization. In addition, we offer assistance in foreign investment legal work as well.
