Felix Hofer is a founding partner of the Florence based law firm Hofer Losch Torricelli (1990). The firm provides legal services throughout Italy to Italian and foreign clients whose businesses require legal assistance either
under the European, national or local regulations. As head of the firm's Marketing Department, Felix's work is concentrated mainly on counseling and litigation in advertising, marketing, sales promotional law, trademarks, civil and administrative law, data protection and privacy issues, e-commerce, IP rights, ecology and environment. He has assisted agencies and advertisers in their commercial promotions and campaigns performed on TV, radio, press and the Internet.
Having acted for almost 20 years - and still acting - as general counsel for a number of local municipalities, Felix has also achieved significant experience in the area of regulated businesses from both sides, the in-side one (i.e. under the public administration's perspective as to reviewing and approval procedures as well as to handling administrative proceedings) and the out-side one (i.e. from the position of the applicant seeking official approval or initiating administrative procedures with a local authority).
Felix is the author and co-author of a number of books and articles on advertising, marketing and sales promotions topics and on company law as well as a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on these topics (in Italy and Europe as well as in the United States). In recent years he delivered presentations at events of the Promotion and Marketing Association
(PMA), Association of National Advertisers (ANA), European Academy of Law (ERA), JupiterEvents, American Conference Institute (ACI), Transworld
Advertising Agencies Network (TAAN), Computer Law Association (CLA), and Electronic Retailing Association (ERA).
Felix is fluent in German and English.
